Our story
Before Kapten, we spent years as engineers at high-growth SaaS startups. At every company, we saw the same pattern: talented product teams slowed to a crawl by infrastructure complexity. Weeks spent configuring Kubernetes. Months wasted on Terraform. Entire sprints burned on CI/CD pipelines instead of shipping features.
So we did what engineers do -- we built internal tooling. Templates, scripts, automation that made infrastructure setup repeatable and fast. It worked. Teams went from weeks to hours. And we realized: every startup faces this exact same pain.
That's when Kapten was born. We took everything we'd learned from scaling infrastructure across multiple companies and turned it into a product. Not a black-box PaaS that takes your code hostage.
